Note

A Bagatelle of Objects I: If I Could Talk About It in Other Ways, I Would is a sound installation meticulously designed around specific objects, aiming to explore our perception of displacement. In this context, displacement refers to various aspects of separation, such as the detachment of a subject from their object(s), the distinction between one space and another, the separation of time from space, the divide between reality and fiction, and the dichotomy of sense and sensibility.

The installation features seemingly lonely objects left in situ, which produce sounds of their own accord in unpredictable sequences. As the audience experiences the installation, the individual sounds generated by these objects weave together, creating an intricate and entangled soundscape. The duality and separation inherent in the concept of displacement are called into question as the distinct elements merge into a complex melange of sound, challenging the very notion of separation.

A Bagatelle of Objects I: If I Could Talk About It in Other Ways, I Would invites listeners to engage with the multifaceted nature of displacement, experiencing its various dimensions within the context of a rich and diverse auditory tapestry.
